Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged a demonstration here at Chowk Nawan Shehr on Monday to express solidarity with their protesting comrades of Faisalabad and condemn the killing of a worker there. Highly enraged on what they described as police brutalities, the PTI workers carried out full-throated sloganeering against government during the demonstration. Traffic got disrupted because of the demo and a severe traffic jam took place around Nawan Shehr Chowk, causing nuisance for the citizens. Heavy police contingents were deployed at the spot to maintain law and order.
